Apparition - a supernatural appearance of a person or thing, esp. a ghost; a specter or phantom; wraith.
Channeling - the practice of professedly entering a meditative or trancelike state in order to convey messages from a spiritual guide.
Clairaudience - A form of psychic perception, clairaudience is the ability to ?hear? spirits.
Clairsentience - You guessed it; a form of psychic perception, clairsentience is the ability to ?feel? spirits. i.e. an unseen hand touching your arm.
Clairvoyance - the supernatural power of seeing objects or actions removed in space or time from natural viewing.
Ectoplasm - An immaterial or ethereal substance, especially the transparent corporeal presence of a spirit or ghost.
EVP (Electronic Voice Phenomenon) - is a term used to refer to sounds that are captured on recorded media or other electronic devices and are said by paranormal investigators to be voices of paranormal origin.
Ghost – the soul of a dead person, a disembodied spirit imagined, usually as a vague, shadowy or evanescent form, as wandering among or haunting living persons.
Ghost Hunting - is the process of investigating locations said to be haunted. Typically, a ghost "hunting party" will involve 4-8 individuals who work as a team to collect evidence of paranormal activity. Ghost hunters usually record data in a scientific manner, making observation using electronic equipment of various types, such as; EMF Meters, digital thermometers, infrared and night vision cameras, handheld video cameras, digital audio recorders, and computers. Organized teams of ghost hunters are also called paranormal investigation teams.
EMF (Electromagnetic Field) The electromagnetic field is a physical field that is produced by electrically charged objects and which affects the behaviour of charged objects in the vicinity of the field. The electromagnetic field extends indefinitely throughout space and describes the electromagnetic interaction, one of the four fundamental forces of nature (including gravitation, the weak interaction, and the strong interaction). The field can be viewed as the combination of an electric field and a magnetic field. The electric field is produced by stationary charges, and the magnetic field by moving charges (currents); these two are often described as the sources of the field. The way in which charges and currents interact with the electromagnetic field is described by Maxwell's equations and the Lorentz Force Law.
Haunting - To inhabit, visit, or appear to in the form of a ghost or other supernatural being.
Intelligent Haunting - is thought by some to be a haunting by a responsive entity, and dynamic in nature unlike a residual haunting. A characteristic of an intelligent haunting is the ability of the phenomenon imposed by the entity to have free will or to make conscious decisions.
Kinetic Energy - of an object is the extra energy which it possesses due to its motion. It is defined as the work needed to accelerate a body of a given mass from rest to its current velocity. Having gained this energy during its acceleration, the body maintains this kinetic energy unless its speed changes. Negative work of the same magnitude would be required to return the body to a state of rest from that velocity.
Medium – a person through whom the spirits of the dead are alleged to be able to contact the living.
Orb - a sphere or globe.
Paranormal - of or pertaining to the claimed occurrence of an event or perception without scientific explanation, as psychokinesis, extrasensory perception, or other purportedly supernatural phenomena.
Poltergeist – A ghost that manifests itself by noises, rapping’s, and the creation of disorder.
Psychokinesis - the purported ability to move or deform inanimate objects, as metal spoons, through mental processes.
Residual Haunting - is thought by some to be a replayed haunting in which no intelligent ghost, spirit, or other entity is directly involved. Much like a video tape, residual hauntings are playbacks of auditory, visual, olfactory, and other sensory phenomenon which are attributed to a traumatic event, life-altering event, or a common event of a person or place, like an echo of past events.
Séance - a meeting in which a spiritualist attempts to communicate with the spirits of the dead.
Sensitive - a person capable of perceiving with a sense or senses.
Shadow People - (also known as Shadow men, shadow folk or shadow beings) are said to be shadow like creatures of supernatural origin that appear as dark forms in the peripheries of people's vision and disintegrate, or move between walls, when noticed.
Soul - the principle of life, feeling, thought, and action in humans, regarded as a distinct entity separate from the body, and commonly held to be separable in existence from the body; the spiritual part of humans as distinct from the physical part.
Specter - a visible incorporeal spirit, esp. one of a terrifying nature; ghost; phantom; apparition.
Spirit - the principle of conscious life; the vital principle in humans, animating the body or mediating between body and soul.
Spiritualism - the belief or doctrine that the spirits of the dead, surviving after the mortal life, can and do communicate with the living, esp. through a person (a medium) particularly susceptible to their influence.
Supernatural - of, pertaining to, or being above or beyond what is natural; unexplainable by natural law or phenomena; abnormal.
Telepathy - communication between minds by some means other than sensory perception.
